1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Village's website and services, including our premium WhatsApp community, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

The Village is a premium membership community for mothers living in Thailand, operated by Socialground Company Limited. Our services include access to curated WhatsApp groups covering topics such as health, education, travel, playdates, recipes, recommendations, and peer support, along with member events and other features as described on our website.

3. User Eligibility

Our services are available only to individuals who are at least 18 years of age. By using our services, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these terms.

4. Subscription and Payment

Access to our premium groups and member benefits requires a paid subscription. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

4.1 Billing

Subscriptions are billed either monthly or annually depending on the plan you select. By subscribing, you agree to pay all fees associated with your chosen plan. Subscription fees may change with reasonable notice, but any price increase will not affect your current billing cycle.

4.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access to premium groups will continue until the end of your current billing period. After that, you will be removed from paid groups and retain access to the free community channels only.

4.3 Refunds

All payments are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds for unused portions of your subscription. If you experience a billing error, contact us at info@thevillage.mom and we will investigate and resolve it.

5. Community Guidelines

As a member, you agree to treat other members with respect and courtesy, not share group invite links or paid content with non-members, not use the community for spam, unsolicited advertising, or self-promotion without approval, not share harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or illegal content, and respect the privacy of other members by not sharing their personal information outside the community.

Violation of these guidelines may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the community without refund, at our discretion.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, features, and functionality of our website and services, including text, graphics, logos, and images, are owned by Socialground Company Limited and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you share within the community. By sharing content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the community and in connection with promoting our services. You are responsible for ensuring that any content you share does not violate the rights of others.

8. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at thevillage.mom/privacy-policy. By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in that policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Village and Socialground Company Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use our services. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimers

Content shared within our community, including recommendations for doctors, schools, products, and services, represents the personal opinions and experiences of individual members. The Village does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of member-shared recommendations. You rely on such information at your own risk. The Village does not provide medical, legal, financial, or professional advice.

11. Disputes

Payment-related disputes are handled by Stripe in accordance with their terms and policies. For all other disputes, you agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting us at info@thevillage.mom. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution under the laws of Thailand, with Bangkok courts having jurisdiction.

12. Modifications

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify members of significant changes through the community Announcements channel and by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time if you breach these terms, violate community guidelines, or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to other members or the community. In cases of termination for cause, no refund will be issued.
